Biography

Dr. Jean Janecki has been the Head of the Language & Culture Commons since 2014. Previously, she was Assistant Professor of Spanish and Language Resource Center Director at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Her research delves into language center management, emphasizing best practices for supervising student staff and fostering cross-campus collaborations. Jean's innovative creation of multi-lingual Free Little World Libraries at Mount Holyoke exemplifies her commitment to inclusive education. Additionally, she explores emerging language teaching technologies and provices faculty training on new tools such as AI.
