On September 11th, LITS will be updating the MHC VPN to use Duo multi-factor authentication instead of Google 2-step verification.
- Users who DON'T have Duo set up yet should follow these instructions to enroll in Duo prior to connecting to the VPN on and after 9/11.
- Users who are already enrolled in Duo can expect a seamless transition.
Is Google 2-step verification going away entirely?
No. Your MHC Google account for Email, Drive, Calendar, etc will continue to use Google 2-step verification. Other services like Zoom that utilize your Google account to authenticate will also continue to be protected by Google 2-step verification.
