Starting on October 15th, Moodle, Pathways, Embark, and other systems that use the blue and white MHC login screen will require Duo multi-factor authentication.
- Users who haven’t already set up Duo should enroll now.
- Users who are already enrolled in Duo can expect a seamless transition.
Need additional support?
Request MHC Account access support if you run into challenges with Duo.
Which systems will now require Duo verification?
All systems that utilize the blue and white MHC login screen (see image below) will require Duo verification.
New additions include:
- Moodle
- Pathways
- Embark
- Kaltura
- Financial Aid online (student login page)
- MyHealth Connection
- Slate
- AskLITS portal
- The Commons (MHC Wordpress)
- LITS online reserve system
- MATLAB
- And more
Workday, the MHC VPN, RStudio, and JupyterHub will continue to require Duo verification.
More info at How to log into campus systems.
How often will I need to complete Duo verification?
Once you’ve logged into a Duo-protected system on a device/browser that you’ve told Duo to trust, you’ll only need to complete Duo verification on that device/browser once per day.
On devices/browsers that you haven’t told Duo to trust, you’ll be prompted to complete Duo verification each time you log into a Duo-protected service.
Even on trusted devices where you’ve already completed Duo verification for the day, Workday will ask you to re-enter your MHC username and password each time.
Why is the College making this change?
Protecting more MHC systems with Duo multifactor authentication reduces the risk of your MHC Account being compromised and increases the security of your and the College’s data.
