Know Your History: Lesbian Bisexual Alliance

The Lesbian-Bisexual Alliance was a support and advocacy group for lesbian, bisexual, and questioning Mount Holyoke students. The group dates back to the late 1980s, and held prominence on campus throughout the 1990s. Bi-weekly support groups for students were held by the organization, as well as workshops within dorms on campus, educating students on lesbian and bisexual awareness and anti-homophobia practices. During the 1990s, the Lesbian-Bisexual Alliance documented homophobic harassment on campus in their “RECORD IT AND FIGHT BACK” notebook.
