2026 Cybersecurity Awareness Training

Mount Holyoke College requires faculty and staff to complete an annual Cybersecurity Awareness Training program through the SANS Institute. College leadership supports this initiative and expects faculty and staff to complete their training as assigned.

How to access the training

Employees will access the Cybersecurity Awareness training in Workday Learning starting on January 20th, 2026.  The course module(s) that you are required to complete will show up in the “Required for You” section on the Workday Learning homepage. 

What does the training include?

The base training program 一 titled “SANS Cybersecurity training for Employees” 一 is designed to comply with the College’s data classification policy and data handling procedures and covers data security practices at an institutional and personal level. 

There are additional mandatory modules for MHC faculty and employees in Human Resources, Finance, College Relations, Health & Counseling Services, the Registrar’s Office, and Admissions. If any of these additional modules is assigned to you, these will also appear in your “Required for You” section on the Workday Learning homepage. 

When is the deadline to complete the training?

All required Cybersecurity training courses must be completed by March 27, 2026.

Is there a “test out” option this year?

There is not a test out option available for the SANS Cybersecurity Awareness training this year. This option may become available in future years as we continue to expand our use of Workday Learning’s features. 

How long will the training take? 

The training is expected to take 45-60 minutes to complete. 

As a supervisor, will I be able to see if my team has completed the training?

Yes. Supervisors will be able to track their team’s training completion. Follow the instructions in this Workday Learning module.
