As part of our regular cybersecurity outreach and training, LITS ran a phishing exercise in October.
We’re delighted to report that fewer than 1% of the 906 employees who received the phishing message clicked through and provided their credentials. That’s an improvement over our test in Spring 2022, which had about 3.5% of people clicking through.
Thank you to everyone who reported the message as phishing in Gmail (instructions on the bottom of this page) and alerted the Technology Help Desk. We’re so grateful for everything you do to protect our campus community.
As a reminder, our annual Cybersecurity training on SANS was due on 10/31, but the training course remains open for employees who have yet to complete it. We appreciate everyone taking the time to prioritize cybersecurity on campus!
