Faculty & Staff: Act early to ensure Technology Purchases are in before the end of the Fiscal Year

Due to supply chain delays and processing time, LITS recommends that faculty and staff act early in April to ensure technology equipment purchases needed to support grant or departmental needs can arrive in time to be processed in this fiscal year. 

Financial Services requires purchases to arrive* prior to July 1, 2023 in order to be charged in the current fiscal year. Just being ordered prior to July 1, 2023 is not sufficient. 

*Shipping times for some equipment can be 2-12 weeks. 

Approvals

  • Faculty are encouraged to be in contact with the Provost’s office regarding any approvals needed for use of department or research funds. 
  • Staff are encouraged to be in contact with their department head regarding any approvals needed for use of department funds.
